Collin Hartman is returning for the 2017-2018 season

Good news Hoosier fans, Collin Hartman who missed all of the 2016 season due to injury will return next season as a red shirt senior.

“This is something that I had been leaning toward since before the season had ended and I needed to make sure that I could fully dedicate myself both mentally and physically to the process,” Collin said in a statement. “It is important that I am able to come back and perform at the level I was at before the injury occurred.”

“We are thrilled that Collin has decided to come back and play next season.  “Having an individual who has won a Big Ten championship and had success in the NCAA Tournament gives our program a big lift.  He brings leadership and intangibles that can do nothing but help us achieve our goals,” Archie Miller said in a statement.

Hoosiers defend better in loss to Wisconsin

The Hoosiers, playing again without James Blackmon Jr., lost to the Badgers 65 – 60. Considering the Hoosiers haven’t won in Madison since 1998, it isn’t surprising really.  What was surprising, was the effort given by the Hoosiers on the defensive end of the floor. The effort and aggressiveness on defense most of the game was a welcomed sight.  They unfortunately couldn’t get enough stops down the stretch and much of that can be credited to the experience of the Badgers.
